Wigwam Jones

For quite a few years now, I've been going by the name "Wigwam Jones." It's a good name, and I like it. It's not such a stretch for me, 'Jones' is a family name, my paternal lineage is Welsh. And 'Wigwam', well, that's just short for 'Wiggy'. And I like the connotation that has.

I'm a mid-forties guy with a wife and a pair of dogs and three cats and a mother-in-law and we all live in a beautiful little Arts & Crafts bungalow in the small town of Wilson, North Carolina.

UPDATE: I lost my job in October of 2006, and found a new one in Detroit, Michigan. We haven't been able to sell our house, so I work in Detroit, rent an apartment there, and return home as often as I can. It's not fun living apart from my wife and family. But it is what it is, eh?

I was born in Galesburg, Illinois, and my family lived in and around the Pekin area until I was about 12 years old, when we moved to the Denver, Colorado area of the country. I've lived there on and off since then. Brief sojourns in California, Okinawa Japan, Wisconsin, Nebraska, New Mexico, and here lately, Michigan. But I always tend to come back to Colorado, one way or another. I guess Denver is my home town.

I like to make photographs and write and sing songs I make up, and I like to read and study politics and history and I especially like to annoy people who need annoying. I've recently started exercising again, losing weight, and I've gotten back into an old hobby - martial arts. Specifically, Isshin-Ryu. After 20+ years off, I suck at it.

I'll probably write some more later, but this will do for now, eh?
