Tornado-Dodging in North Carolina

Mrs. Wiggy called me this morning - overnight tornadoes touched down all around our home in Wilson, NC, and did some major devastation, killed several people. She's OK. More tornadoes predicted, Mrs. Wiggy and the dogaloos are keeping their heads down. More news as events warrant.

A super storm cell produced tornadoes that killed at least two people, left a child missing and damaged homes and barns in a half-dozen counties as it moved across central North Carolina early Saturday.

A woman and a 10-year-old child died in Wilson and Johnston counties, Patty McQuillian, a spokeswoman for the state Department of Crime Control and Public Safety.

Kenly suffered "complete devastation," resident Michael Barnes Sr. said. "It looks like a war zone."

Not much I can do, I'm still in Detroit.

Not much I can do but hope

Not much I can do but hope everyone stays safe, too, my cuz-brother*, cousin-in-law, neice and cuz-cats are in Charlotte. -_-

*We're only children, my cousin and I, so er, he's my bro.

Stay safe, Mrs. Wiggy!

Update to earlier reports:

Update to earlier reports: Mrs. Wiggy and her mom (who came to live with us a few years back) went to the grocery store during a lull, and discovered Raleigh Road was closed off - a roof came off a nearby home, it seems. Just a few blocks from our Chez Wigwam. The dogaloos, it seems are unconcerned at the moment. All well so far - good thoughts for your relatives in Charlotte, too!
